A Staff Scientist position is available in the MacPherson lab, which is focused on the biology of small cell lung cancer (SCLC). We apply functional screens and analyses of genetically engineered murine and patient-derived xenograft (PDX) models toward understanding genes mutated in SCLC and developing novel therapeutic approaches. Our group is also interested in understanding how to augment immune responses in SCLC and in developing new diagnostic approaches towards phenotyping lung cancer using liquid biopsies. The Staff Scientist would help advance translational research in the lab by working on both independent and collaborative projects. The candidate may contribute to a translational NIH Lung SPORE grant, including study of patient samples and derived models.
