Kidney/Liver Transplant surgery provides the best transplant care in the country.¿ A variety of transplant procedures are performed regularly including kidney, liver, and pancreas transplants. ¿With the treatment of kidney disease at Barnes-Jewish Hospital consistently ranked among the best in the nation by US News and World Report, more than 100 kidney transplants are performed each year alone.¿ Our multidisciplinary transplant team is comprised of nurses, physicians, pharmacists, dieticians, social workers, and spiritual caregivers who communicate daily to meet patient needs.¿ Nurses are provided an extensive orientation specific to the care of our patients, including critical care training.

Responsibilities
Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: onboarding and hiring, training, workload management & performance evaluations, conducting professional development plans as needed. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
Ensures the delivery of services meet all professional standards of care within accountable areas of influence at all times.
Sets the department priorities in alignment with the priorities of the organization.
Plans, develops, and directs operations of patient care services and integrates these services with other departments.
