The Alliance Lab Technical Specialist works closely with lab leadership to ensure complex troubleshooting and initiatives are completed in a timely manner with appropriate regulatory compliance. The role may provide training on new equipment/systems, will participate in complex projects, and support laboratory operations.
This role is primarily based on-site at the South Lake Union Campus (825 Eastlake Ave E, Seattle, WA 98109). Occasional travel as needed and in support of ongoing projects to our community sites is required.

Responsibilities
- Primary resource supporting installations and validations of equipment and software systems for all Alliance Lab locations (South Lake Union and Community Sites).
- Develop procedures and training checklists associated with new systems.
- Resource for complicated technical issues requiring coordination between lab staff, technical lead, and vendors.
- Assists in the management of projects meeting timelines and deliverables of the project.
- Assists in the evaluation of possible instruments or test methods.
Qualifications
Required:
- Associate in science or bachelor of science
- 4 years of experience (2 years with bachelor's degree) operating, managing, or developing laboratory test systems and methods intended for human testing including clinical lab experience, lab field service experience, research on human samples lab experience, etc.
- Ability to interpret applicable laboratory regulations
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Moderate ability to utilize Excel for data recording and report assessment
- Ability to develop and/or present content to senior leaders
- Demonstrated experience with change management and complex problem solving
- Advanced knowledge of lab test systems used for human sample testing
- Experience troubleshooting, managing, and resolving lab test system issues
- Must be able to differentiate between colors and pass a standardized color vision screen to perform this role
Preferred:
- Medical Laboratory Technician, Medical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Technologist or an equivalent certification with certified maintenance of continuing education through ASCP, AMT or AAB
- Associate in science in Medical Lab Technician or bachelor of science in Medical Technology/Medical Lab Scientist
- Certified CAP Inspector Team Member

The hourly pay range for this position is from $41.82 to $62.72 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
