Day Surgery Unit

Patient Population:?General Surgery, Orthopedics, Neuro, Gynecology, ENT, Oncology, Pain management, Interventional Radiology, and Gastroenterology patients.PreOpand Phase II
Patient Ratios: PreOp 1:1; Phase II: Ranges from 1:2 - 1:3-5; per ASPAN (American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses guidelines.
Number of Beds: 18
Department Specifics: Team nursing approach to pre-operative patients, ability to cross train in PACU and GI lab, and collaborative team.

Qualifications
Accredited program or (2) two years minimum, required for this position.
A major focus or specialization in Nursing.
Ideally, some relevant professional experience, though less than a (1) one year would suffice.
Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) or obtain within (30) thirty days of hire or transfer.
