SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Nursing Professional Development Generalist supports the quality of care provided to patients by Department of Nursing staff through optimal orientation programs, ongoing evaluation of competence, and support of lifelong learning. The Nursing Professional Development Specialist promotes relevant professional development opportunities and mentorship for members of the department of nursing at all levels to assist with the achievement of personal and professional goals.
Join Our Team as a Nursing Development Generalist - Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Unit!
Are you passionate about pediatric care and excited to contribute to the growth and development of nursing professionals? We have an incredible opportunity for you to make a difference on our Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Unit.
We?re looking for a compassionate, experienced nurse who has a deep commitment to educating others and making a lasting impact in pediatric oncology. Ideally, you?ll have a background in oncology and pediatric care, but most importantly, we are seeking someone eager to share their knowledge and passion for this specialized field.
What you'll do:
Provide education on pediatric cancer to help empower and support our nurses and clinical staff.
Work with new research protocols, contributing to the development and dissemination of new knowledge and practices.
Collaborate closely with other nursing professionals in the development of orientation programs and ongoing professional development opportunities?within our children?s hospital and beyond.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
Bachelor's degree in Nursing
At least three (3) years? experience as registered nurse
Must obtain Master?s degree in nursing or related field within five (5) years of hire
Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
AHA BLS prior to end of orientation period
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
Pediatric and Hematology Oncology experience preferred
