We are seeking a patient focused Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Hospitalist team at University Hospital!
Position Details:
- Full-time, Night Shift
- 3 12's / week
- 4:00pm-4:00am, 6:00pm-6:00am, or 7:00pm-7:00am
- Rotating weekends and holidays
- 100% inpatient
- Complex adult patient population - primarily Hepatology, GI, Transplant, Oncology and BMT.
- 12-18 admissions / week
- Team includes 3+ physicians and 6+ APPs
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordination of care during nightly rounds
- Providing patient and family education
- Assessing patients in the Emergency Department for admissions
- Initiating a workup for diagnosis and implementing a treatment plan
- Perform medical consults for subspecialty services
- Co-manage with multiple subspecialty services
Qualifications:
- ACNP, AGNP, FNP or PA certifications required
- If new graduate NP, RN inpatient PCU/critical care experience required
- If new graduate PA, hospital medicine clinical rotation required
- 1-2 years of APP experience highly preferred
