Join our dedicated infusion team at Mt. Edgecumbe Medical Center, where you’ll provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients receiving specialty IV therapies. With three infusion rooms and no call or overtime, this role offers a balanced schedule and a chance to make a meaningful impact in a close-knit community.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and oversee infusion patient referrals, appointments, and follow-ups.
Administer specialty IV fluids via peripheral or central lines (CVC, PICC, etc.) following INS/ONS and facility guidelines.
Monitor and document patient responses to treatments, collaborating with referring providers.
Prepare infusion orders, communicate with physicians and pharmacy, and ensure prior authorizations are in place.
Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and participate in care planning meetings.
Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and provide leadership to clinic staff.
Stay current on best practices in oncology and infusion nursing.

Licensure: Current, unrestricted RN license in Alaska or another U.S. state (Must apply for AK licensure if offered a role).
Certifications: BLS and ACLS required.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; nursing education required for RN licensure.
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience (ICU, Medical, or Case Management preferred).
IV skills are essential—this is not a new grad position.
Prior infusion or specialty experience
Skills & Knowledge
Strong understanding of infusion protocols, pharmacology, and disease processes.
Proficiency in managing central lines and infusion equipment.
Effective communication and leadership in a clinical setting.
Ability to assess, diagnose, and respond to patient needs with confidence and care
