This role will provide leadership for all activities associated with the successful delivery of programs, which includes organizing programs; managing related projects and deliverables within the program; and reporting on program health, planning, resource coordination, scheduling, budgeting, and execution. This is a critical role in effectively aligning project timing, strategy, and objectives to support the program in a way that is more beneficial than managing individual projects.
This role will create and maintain interlocking schedules for projects of a program, track program interdependencies, maintain and present status of the program, track, and address risks/issues at the program level, among other duties. In addition to program management duties the Program Manager will provide process leadership and support to other Project Managers in structuring projects, consult on the use of project management tools and will lead process improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Facilitates the development and implementation of key goals, objectives, and success criteria for the program with sponsors and cross-department stakeholders.
- Oversees all aspects of assigned programs and related sub-projects to ensure completion within defined scope, quality, time, and cost constraints.
- A high degree of project management competency including develop detailed program/project execution plan, manage all implementation processes and project financials.
- Experienced in multiple project methodologies, selecting the best methods for progress tracking, health metrics, monitoring change control process, testing, release to production and on-time delivery within capacity constraints.
- Understand and translate cross-team dependencies into actionable plans.
- Provide overall communication and interface with all areas affected by the program/project including cross-functional stakeholders and dependent teams.
- Strategic planning, organization, and resolution of complex project issues.
- Takes a proactive approach to dealing with ambiguity; seeks out and creates clarity.
- Works with leadership and core team members to help identify and assist in making program tradeoffs to balance scope, time, and costs.
- Coordinate with project managers, other IT, and business subject matter experts, as well as 3rd party vendors.
- Provide leadership to project managers, foster a positive team environment, and provide direction in ambiguous situations.
- Builds and maintains strong working relationships with team members, project sponsors and peers; is customer service focused.
- Surface opportunities to innovate and improve operational efficiencies.
Qualifications
Required:
- BA/BS degree required or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in managing enterprise or complex IT programs and projects.
- Experience with and interest in project management tools, project management methodologies and best practices.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.
- Excellent communication skills, problem solving, conflict / resolution management, active listening, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Skilled in prioritization. Makes the right tradeoffs between schedule, resources, and scope in order to address major risks, challenges, and obstacles.
- Demonstrated consistent ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver technical solutions while mitigating or removing hurdles / obstacles.
- Strong relationship building skills with the ability to influence others by negotiating and building cohesiveness across diverse individual skills and styles.
Preferred:
- PMI Certifications preferred: PMP, CSM or ACP

The annual base salary range for this position is from $118,560 to $187,387 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
