The Immunotherapy Integrated Research Center (IIRC) Data Coordinator III works within a multidisciplinary team that supports clinical trials, sample acquisition studies and patients receiving FDA approved products at the Fred Hutch/University of Washington Cancer Consortium. The position is responsible for collecting and abstracting clinical data from medical records and research charts and entering the data into the IIRC Clinical Database, ensuring data quality and timeliness. The team supports a large and diverse portfolio of clinical trials and this position will work in close collaboration with faculty, providers and research staff across multiple disease areas. This position must be able to work independently on multiple projects, demonstrate attention to detail and strong organizational skills. This position reports directly to the IIRC Data Operations Manager.

Responsibilities
The incumbent works independently in performing job assignments. Uses judgment in data collection, quality control, and liaison activities.
PRIMARY/ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Work independently to obtain, abstract, and code complex clinical information from multiple sources (medical records, research records, etc.)
- Resolve and answer data queries with minimal errors within electronic data bases.
- Perform routine audits to ensure quality and completeness of the data submitted.
- Pull reports from the database as requested
- Work with data scientists on integrating multiple data sources
- Incorporate machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) into database
- Serve as a liaison and reference resource to Physicians, Investigators, other staff members, and other organizations with questions about data collection or protocol procedures and requirements.
- Monitor adherence to protocol, investigating any violation.
- Request medical records from outside medical facilities.
- Coordinate quality control reviews
- Participate in committees with regard to data quality assurance.
- Understand research operations and collaborate with clinical staff, support services, and research team members as needed.
- Coordinate special projects.
- Provide input to support policies and goals of the department.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS, or two-year degree in the medical field.
- Three years of experience in medical records, cancer registry, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards for clinical research.
- Strong computer skills and experience with data entry and databases.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Medical terminology.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working in oncology research or oncology clinical settings
- Experience with Epic/EMR systems
- Experience with iMedidata Rave/REDCap/EDC systems
- Experience with artificial intelligence (AI)
- Ability to independently manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

The hourly pay range for this position is from $29.19 to $41.56 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
