Key Job Responsibilities The Physician Assistant (PA) is responsible and accountable for the application of the nursing process, supervision of clinical practice, research involvement, consultative services, education, leadership and patient care management across the health care continuum including acute care through discharge, and ambulatory care environments.??
A PA???s practice incorporates both independent decision-making abilities and collaboration with the board certified/eligible physician to provide expert care to the patients. ??
Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant Program
Licenses:
Current, unrestricted California Physician Assistant License ?? National PA Certification (NCCPA) DEA license Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS/ALS)
Experience:
1 or more years of PA experience required ??

The PA practices under the Physician Assistant Board of California BPC Division 2, Chapter 7.7 & Physician Assistant Regulations in Title 16, Division 13.8 utilizing the PA Standardized Procedures. These are developed in a collaborative effort within the area of specialty and the Hospital Administration, incorporating CSHS goals and represent an interdisciplinary approach to patient care delivery. The PA provides individualized care upholding CSHS philosophies including but not limited to care consistent with best practices, the Plan for Provision of Patient Care, the Performance Improvement Plan, the Patient Education Plan, the Professional Organization Standards, Code of Conduct, and hospital and departmental policies and procedures. This role enhances competency skills through continuing education programs. This role has the ability to provide care to special patient population and those with diverse cultural background. Performs all job duties with sensitivity and attention to age and developmental milestones of the population(s) served. Identifies safety concerns and institute measures to provide safe environment and provide appropriate assessment, intervention, and evaluation of patients with consideration of developmental milestones in the population served.
