The NP functions in an interdependent role by implementing the appropriate Standardized Procedures (SPs). In collaborative practice with the Medical Director, attending physicians and fellows, the NP will be responsible for providing independent clinical assessment and patient care management services for Hematology/Oncology clinic patients. Incumbent must be self-directed and function with minimal direct supervision.
Salary range: $89.06- $127.19/hourly
- Current CA Licensure as RN and Nurse Practitioner-required
- Current BLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross-required
- Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner Specialty-required

- National Certification in NP specialty-required
- 1-2 years of Oncology NP experience- preferred
- Ability to independently prioritize work with minimal direct supervision-required

- Skills and abilities to perform history and physical examinations of oncology patients-required
- Skills and abilities to perform accurate assessment and evaluation of oncology patients-required

- Detailed background in oncology clinical medicine-required
- Knowledge and ability to organize, coordinate, and follow complex clinical regimens-required
- Skill in communicating and translating medical information to patients and their families, including giving patients and families an understanding of their medical condition and what they might expect in the future-required
- Knowledge and proficiency of the English language sufficient to read medical reports and records with comprehension and to prepare reports and correspondence-required
