Atlantic Health is Seeking a Nurse Practitioner for Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at Goryeb Children's Hospital in Morristown, NJ
Atlantic Health, one of New Jersey's largest non-profit healthcare networks, is seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) to support a busy and expanding Pediatric Hematology/Oncology practice located in Goryeb Children's Hospital at Morristown Medical Center. Our team of hematologists and medical oncologists, as well as additional nurse practitioners and physician assistants, coordinate unified comprehensive care, including chemotherapy and radiation therapy, along with supportive care services. This position is full-time with no weekends or call requirement.
The primary role of the Pediatric NP is to work collaboratively with a robust dynamic group of board-certified cancer specialists. The NP is expected to provide pediatric hematology and oncology specialty patient care in both inpatient and outpatient setting. The NP will also participate in educating patients and families, working with pharmacies and insurance carriers to ensure patients have access to treatments. Ideal candidates will bring a positive and caring attitude, excellent communication skills, clinical expertise in oncology.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Diagnose/treat and manage hematology/oncology conditions in children
- Administer chemotherapy, perform procedures (Lumbar Punctures) in collaboration with physicians
- Order chemotherapy per research protocols in Beacon
- Participate in research activities related to pediatric hematology/oncology
- Monitor patient response to treatment and adjust care plan if needed
- Provide patient and family education about treatment options, disease process and management
- Document patient information and treatment in medical records and maintain patient confidentiality
- Stay current with latest developments in pediatric hematology/oncology treatment

Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Program
- Must be licensed as an RN and PNP or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
- BLS and PALS required
- 2+ years of Pediatric hematology oncology experience is required
- Strong clinical skills in pediatric hematology and oncology
- CPHON and Chemo-Biotherapy Provider Certification Preferred
- Epic/Beacon EMR experience preferred
- Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently
