Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00a-4:30p

Position Overview
The RN-Ambulatory Supervisor - Women's & Hematology Unit, embodies IU Health's mission, vision, and values, adhering to the Code of Ethics, Corporate Compliance, and all relevant policies, procedures, and standards. This role is responsible for coordinating competent, evidence-based nursing care across the care continuum--including assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The supervisor provides leadership, manages clinical practice, oversees personnel, and ensures adequate staffing and resources to support efficient clinic operations and optimal patient outcomes. They also assist with problem-solving and maintain compliance with ANA standards and ethical guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and coordinate nursing practice within the ambulatory setting to deliver safe, evidence-based care.
* Oversee clinical care delivery and provide personnel management for assigned staff.
* Ensure adequate staffing, resources, and supplies to support patient care and clinic efficiency.
* Assist in problem-solving and operational challenges to optimize clinic performance.
* Maintain compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards.
* Promote adherence to professional nursing standards, including the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses.
* Support staff development and foster a culture of quality and safety.

Qualifications & Requirements:
* Education:
- Associates of Nursing (ASN) required.
- Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program.
* Licensure & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Additional advanced life support certifications may be required per department policies.
- Oncology Certification Strongly Preferred
* Experience:
- Two years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of procedures and equipment relevant to the clinical area.
- Ability to coordinate multiple functions efficiently and effectively.
- Understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and RN responsibilities.
