Job Description
Role Overview:
Are you an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) passionate about surgical oncology? Join our team of over 900 NPs and PAs at MSK who are dedicated to delivering exceptional cancer care to patients and families. In this role, you'll provide comprehensive care to our breast cancer patients, guiding them through their treatment journey and ensuring their medical and psychosocial needs are met. This position is focused on Breast OR coverage and will primarily involve surgical cases at the Josie Robertson Surgery Center (JRSC), where outpatient procedures are performed in a cutting-edge setting. You'll serve as a first or second-assist in the OR, while also performing post-operative checks, rounding, and reviewing charts to prepare patients for surgery. Occasional coverage at our main campus OR may also be required. In this role, you will collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members, deliver comprehensive care to breast cancer patients, meet the medical needs of patients, and participate in the implementation of patient education and clinical support programs to ensure efficient care throughout the healthcare continuum. Key Qualifications:
- Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses/registrations
- Master's degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)
- Experience is preferred but new graduates with breast or surgical experience are encouraged to apply
- RNFA Certification
- Related National NP certification
- BLS/ACLS certification
OR
- Graduate from an accredited PA program
- NCCPA certification
- Active NYS license or be qualified for state licensure
- Experience is preferred but new graduates with breast or surgical experience are encouraged to apply
- BLS/ACLS certification

Additional Information:
Hours: 12 hour shifts, 7am-7pm or 9am-9pm flex schedule Monday-Saturday
Location: Josie Robertson Surgery Center, with potential to cover Main Campus
Pay Range:144K-182K
