Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children (OHAPH) in Orlando, Florida, is seeking an outstanding leader to serve as the Inaugural Chief, Pediatric Otolaryngology. Reporting to Justin Williams, President, the Chief will establish and lead a new division, overseeing its development, resource management, and programmatic growth. This role will focus on fostering clinician development, enhancing education, and driving clinical productivity to ensure exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership, clinical excellence, patient care, and teaching.
The Chief will be responsible for building the division within the Orlando Health Medical Group while continuing collaboration with the hospital’s private practice physicians. Currently, pediatric otolaryngology services at OHAPH are delivered by private practitioners. Approximately 1,000 pediatric otolaryngology cases were performed last year, with significant potential for growth given the hospital's robust resources, including 15,000 annual births, a large newborn nursery, and a high-volume NICU at Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies.
The incoming Chief will immediately have the opportunity to recruit two additional clinicians, aiming to grow the division to 4-5 providers. These clinicians will work alongside experienced OR staff proficient in pediatric otolaryngology surgeries. Additionally, the new Children’s Pavilion will offer dedicated space to support the division’s growth and operations. This is a unique opportunity to shape a division and advance pediatric otolaryngology services at OHAPH.
In addition, the Division Chief will have the opportunity to build the ambulatory practice and establish operational processes for their clinics. Significant opportunities exist to include Pediatric Otolaryngology at existing OHAPH satellite clinics throughout Central Florida as the division grows.
