Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital New Brunswick is seeking an experienced and highly motivated physician to join our Neurology Department as the Chief of the Division of Neuromuscular Diseases. The successful candidate will hold an academic appointment as an Associate Professor or Professor, depending on qualifications, and will be responsible for leading the division’s clinical, educational, and research activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Division of Neuromuscular Disorders and oversee the ALS Center of Excellence.
Serve as the Chief of the Electromyography (EMG) Laboratory.
Provide clinical care to patients with neuromuscular disorders in both outpatient and hospital settings.
Perform electrodiagnostic tests in various settings.
Participate in the on-call rotation, including night and weekend coverage.
Educate and mentor Neurology residents, fellows, and medical students.
Engage in the department's neuromuscular research programs.
Participate in administrative activities and serve on departmental and institutional committees.
Contribute to the department’s community service responsibilities, including providing care for indigent patients and advising community groups.
Attend and contribute to departmental and institutional faculty meetings.
Qualifications:
MD or equivalent degree with board certification in Neurology.
Sub-specialty training in Neuromuscular Disorders.
Experience in clinical care, teaching, and research in Neuromuscular Diseases.
Demonstrated leadership and administrative skills.
