Join the cutting-edge Roswell Park/University at Buffalo Oncology Nurse Scientist Training Program, a unique initiative providing a transformative platform for PhD nurses passionate about translational science. As a Nurse Scientist Trainee, you will immerse yourself in hands-on research experiences within the realm of oncology, guided by top-tier mentors in cancer research. This pioneering program, funded by a grant from the National Cancer Institute, is set to empower two to three PhD nurses annually with a two-year comprehensive training curriculum tailored to advance knowledge and expertise in oncology research.
Collaborating closely with a dedicated team of mentors from Roswell Park and UB's School of Nursing, trainees will be equipped to spearhead independent research endeavors focusing on pivotal challenges in cancer research, patient care, and health equity. Each trainee will have a Nurse-Researcher assigned as either a Mentor or Co-mentor on their committee, ensuring personalized guidance throughout their journey.
