The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (Fred Hutch) and the University of Washington (UW) are jointly recruiting a full-time faculty member specializing in medical genetics research and clinical care for oncology patients. This position will be at the Assistant or Associate Professor level without tenure due to funding (WOT), commensurate with experience and qualifications in the Clinical Research Division of the Fred Hutch and the appropriate division at UW, based upon board certification(s) of successful applicant.
The position will involve participation in the clinical and instructional activities of the Clinical Research Division, the Division of Hematology and Oncology, Cancer Genetics and Prevention Clinic, and other Divisions, as applicable. The primary appointment will be in the Clinical Research Division of Fred Hutch with a joint appointment at University of Washington in the appropriate division. University of Washington assistant professors WOT are eligible for multi-year appointments and associate professors WOT hold indefinite appointments that both align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. The position will report to the Senior Vice President (SVP) of the Clinical Research Division at Fred Hutch and the Division Head of the appropriate UW Division, according to applicant’s board certification.
