Indiana University Health Physicians and the Indiana University School of Medicine Department of Neurology is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider who will participate in the care of patients within a multi-disciplinary clinical team of Neuro-oncologists in a highly collaborative environment. The APP will develop their expertise in providing care for patients with primary brain/spinal cord tumors, metastatic nervous system tumors, and associated neurological complications of cancer and cancer treatments. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual who is interested in research and education as we grow and build our Center for Neuro-Oncology.

Position:
Full-time, Day shift
Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm
No night or weekend call
Role will be primarily outpatient (IU Health Neuroscience Center and North Hospital)
Minimal inpatient coverage at the Adult Academic Health Center
Procedures include; lumbar punctures, Ommaya reservoir tap, and intrathecal delivery of chemotherapy (training will be provided)
Patient-centered and compassionate approach to providing care
Strong clinical skills and knowledge in the areas of oncology, neurology, palliative care and/or terminal neurological illnesses and neurodegenerative diseases is preferred but not required
Self-starter with excellent and effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team-based healthcare environment
Accountability with high-level emotional intelligence
Current knowledge of evidence-based practice guidelines and healthcare regulations
Commitment to continued professional development and lifelong learning
