Job Summary:
Participates in the quality care of our patients by providing medical dosimetry services meeting or exceeding any national standards of care in radiation oncology. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
You Will Be Responsible For:
Demonstrates, through behavior, AdventHealths core values of Integrity, Compassion, Balance, Excellence, Stewardship, and Teamwork.
- Discusses patient diagnosis with physicians.
- Assist in simulation process, including collection of pertinent data required for treatment planning.
- Accurately transpose patient data into treatment planning system.
- Accurately and proficiently performs dosimetric calculations for external beam treatment plans.
- Accurately and proficiently performs dosimetric calculations for IMRT treatment plans.
- Accurately and proficiently performs dosimetric calculations for brachytherapy plans.
Qualifications
What You Will Need:
Required:
- Minimum of B.S. or B.A. degree in Physics or related field, OR Radiation Therapy Technology certification (no expiration)
- Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD)
- Strong knowledge of medical dosimetry
- Effective communication skills
Preferred:
- Five years of clinical medical dosimetry experience
- Knowledge of computers and networking
