The Division Chief of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology will be responsible for leading the division and ensuring collaboration within the Department of Pediatrics. This individual will foster an environment of teamwork, respect, and professionalism with the faculty, staff, and students.
Major functions include providing clinical care through ambulatory clinics and inpatient services, participating in call schedules, and providing bedside teaching to residents, students, and fellows. The role also involves engaging in didactic instruction, developing scholarly activity, and serving as a mentor to researchers within the division.
The position offers a dynamic mix of direct clinical care, clinical administrative and QA/QI activities, didactic and bedside teaching, and research support or participation. This role seeks to contribute to the advancement of pediatric hematology/oncology care through leadership, education, and research.
- Medical Doctor Degree (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree (D.O.);
- Board certification in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology;
- Eligible for medical license in Texas; and
- Leadership experience.
