University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking a Certified Nurse Practitioner or a Certified Physician Assistant to join the Gynecologic Oncology team.
With us you'll find outstanding patient care, excellent education, and groundbreaking research into the field of Gynecologic Oncology. Our practice is the largest gynecologic oncology group in the Twin Cities. This position will typically work at the Clinics and Surgery Center at the University of Minnesota. If needed, they will fill-in at one of our community clinics in the surrounding suburbs.
In This Role, You Will:
- Work in collaboration with physicians, consultants, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care and plan of care to adult gynecologic oncology patient in the inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Engage in comprehensive diagnosis and management of complex gynecologic oncology patients in all spectrums of care including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation therapy, and supportive care.
- Complete comprehensive histories and physicals of complex, acute, critical, and chronically ill patients.
- Initiate orders and implement diagnostic and treatment plans, including intravenous fluids, medications, and transfusions.
- Support the breast health screening program with assessments of patients with acute breath health concerns.
- Assist in the perioperative management of patients in conjunction with their surgeons and the care delivery team. This includes immediate post-operative care and wound care.
- Perform minor procedures based on training and licensure.
Schedule:
- Full time, 1.0 FTE
- Monday-Friday, eight-hour schedule between 7am-6pm
- No Call
We're Looking For a PA or NP Who Is:
- A graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or formal Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner training program.
- Eligible or is certified through NCCPA, ANCC or AANP.
- Licensed or eligible to acquire a license and prescriptive authority through the MN Board of Medical Practice (PAs) or MN APRN license or eligible to acquire a license and prescriptive authority through MN Board of Nursing (NP's).
- Able to meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
