Indiana University Health has an opportunity for an Advanced Practice Provider to join our collaborative and passionate Surgical Oncology team with a focus on Hepatopancreaotobiliary (HPB) patient population. The role of the APP will include seeing new patients with benign disease, including new and established hereditary high risk pancreatic cyst patients and other established and post-operative patients.
Job Description:
Full-Time, Four 10 hours days' week (7am-5:30p)
100% outpatient
No call
Patient volume in office: average 40/week
Team includes 12 physicians and 3 APPs; this position will work directly with 6 surgeons
Practice location: Surgery Outpatient Adult Clinic located at IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis
Key Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities include daily clinic sessions, virtual telehealth when clinically appropriate, collaborative partnerships with surgeons, clinic nurses as well as oncology and radiology services.
Incision and drain, drain removal & staple/suture removal
Qualifications:
Master's Degree required
Open to BE/BC AGNPs, ACNPs, FNPs, and PAs
Ideal candidate will have a clinical background in care of surgical patients and/or oncology patients
Candidate must possess strong communication and critical thinking skills, while showing compassion.
