This is an exciting opportunity to serve as a key nursing leader for a committed organization focused on improving access and providing innovative, high-quality care to its region.
Based in Little Rock, CARTI offers cutting-edge, state of the art cancer care treatment in Arkansas. From its origins as one of the nation's leading networks of freestanding, not-for-profit radiation therapy providers to its modern evolution as a comprehensive cancer center, CARTI remains committed to its core mission of providing the finest quality cancer treatment and compassionate patient care while also continuing to improve their knowledge through education and research. CARTI has a statewide network of satellite clinics. As the largest not-for-profit network of private practice cancer care specialists in Arkansas, CARTI currently sees an estimated 50,000 patients per year. CARTI employs 56 physicians across the state including eighteen medical oncologists, ten radiation oncologists, five surgical oncologists, four diagnostic radiologists, four breast imaging specialists, three interventional radiologists, four urologists, four anesthesiologists, two dentists, one palliative care specialist, and one audiologist.
Reporting to the Executive Vice President, Chief Clinical Officer, the AVP organizes, directs and continuously improves the performance of all clinic and infusion nursing functions within CARTI to ensure the highest quality, safety and service. This position will also travel to all CARTI locations throughout the state of Arkansas. The AVP, Nursing will ensure that competent, compassionate patient care is uniformly provided to patients while developing and implementing policies, programs, and services consistent with the CARTI's mission. This leader will provide direction and support to nursing and collaborate with other leaders toward the attainment of short and long-term goals and objectives.
The ideal candidate will be an authentic, dedicated, and relationship-oriented nursing leader with experience in developing and executing nursing operations and strategies. The next AVP must excel in both direct leadership and leadership by influencing and holding themselves and others accountable. They must have exceptional critical thinking skills and be a leader who will advocate for the nursing staff but can also think broadly and collaborate with others across the organization. They will be outcome-oriented, dedicated to serving patients, and possess strong communication skills, empathy, decisiveness, and the ability to inspire and motivate others.
