Job Summary:
Responsible for the day-to-day management of the Center for Advanced Care Orthopaedic Surgery Clinic operations and providing leadership to the clinic staff. Monitors patient and clinic workflow to ensure efficient patient care and cost effective operations of the clinic. Other duties as assigned.
About the clinic: As the largest orthopaedic clinic within our system, we care for many pre and post-operative patients. The subspecialties we care for include: ortho trauma, ortho oncology, foot and ankle, hand and upper extremity, total joint replacement, sports medicine and bone health/osteoporosis. Our clinic has 30 exam rooms, 6 radiology rooms, and 6 cast rooms. With a focus on teamwork and patient experience, our clinic works hard to provide the best care possible to patients.
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
Two years of experience in hospital or ambulatory care nursing is required. Additional specialty nursing experience in clinic specialty is preferred. Two years of experience in a leadership role (e.g., nurse manager, manager, charge nurse, supervisor, assistant nurse manager) is preferred.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:
Degree in Nursing (Baccalaureate or Graduate) is required. Graduate degree in Nursing or Related Field is preferred.
TRAINING DESCRIPTION:
Previous training in process improvement (LEAN, Six Sigma, etc.) is preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:
Knowledge of nursing theory and practice and ability to apply that knowledge by appropriate integration of nursing practice into multiple ambulatory settings. 2. Ability to motivate, inspire and support nursing staff and colleagues to attain excellence in professional nursing practice. 3. Ability to work effectively and develop positive working relationships with staff and physicians in all levels of the organization. 4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 5. Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:
Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact) (or eligible for Wisconsin licensure). Certification in a Nursing Specialty or Nursing Administration is preferred. (e.g. , certification in clinic nursing specialty, Nurse Executive).
