Clinical Assistant, Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor, Renal Melanoma, on the Full Time Clinical Faculty pathway with an approximate 80:20 contribution to clinical service and academic pursuits.
Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Fred Hutch) and the University of Washington (UW) are jointly recruiting a full-time clinical faculty member specializing in clinical care of patients with renal melanoma. This position will be at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level commensurate with experience and qualifications in the Clinical Research Division of the Fred Hutch and the Division of Hematology and Oncology at UW.
Fred Hutch and UW faculty engage in teaching, research, and service. The position will focus primarily on ambulatory clinical care of patients with skin and kidney cancers at a world-renowned comprehensive cancer center. The Renal Melanoma group is committed to providing outstanding patient care, through cutting edge research trials with a strong focus on immunotherapy, to patients with melanoma, Merkel cell carcinoma, other non-melanoma skin cancers, and kidney cancers. The position may also involve participation in the administrative, research, and instructional activities of the Clinical Research Division. Teaching responsibilities involve oversight of trainees during outpatient and inpatient clinical activities, and lectures. The position will be based at the South Lake Union main campus, but there is the possibility that the incumbent could see patients at one of Fred Hutch’s community clinics.
The primary, annual appointment will be in the Clinical Research Division of Fred Hutch. The position will report to the Senior Vice President (SVP) of the Clinical Research Division at Fred Hutch and the Division Head of Hematology and Oncology.
